These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Billsaver Technologies Limited ("Billsaver," "we," "us," "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
By accessing or using the Billsaver mobile application, website (billsaver.ng), or any related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
Billsaver is a bill payment and financial services platform that enables users to pay for airtime, mobile data, electricity, cable television, internet subscriptions, and other utility bills in Nigeria. Billsaver is licensed as a payment solution provider and operates in compliance with applicable regulations issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
We are not a bank or deposit-taking institution. Any funds held in your Billsaver wallet are subject to the terms set out in Section 7 of these Terms.
To use Billsaver, you must:
By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements above.
You must register using a valid Nigerian phone number. You may be required to complete identity verification (KYC) in line with CBN directives before certain features are unlocked. All information provided must be accurate and kept up to date.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN, password, and any authentication credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@billsaver.ng if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
Each user may hold only one active Billsaver account. Creating multiple accounts to exploit the cashback program or any promotional offer is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all cashback balances.
Subject to these Terms, Billsaver provides the following services:
Billsaver acts as an intermediary between users and service providers. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of any specific service provider's services. Transaction failures attributable to third-party providers are handled according to our refund policy.
Billsaver offers cashback rewards on eligible transactions. Cashback is credited to your Billsaver wallet upon successful completion of a qualifying transaction. Rates are displayed within the Platform at the time of transaction and may vary by service, network, and promotional period.
Current cashback rates are: Airtime (up to 5%), Data bundles (up to 6%), Electricity (up to 5%), Cable TV (up to 4%), Internet (up to 4%). These rates are subject to change without prior notice.
Cashback accumulated in your wallet may be withdrawn to any Nigerian bank account registered in your name, subject to our minimum withdrawal thresholds and verification requirements as published in the Platform.
You may fund your Billsaver wallet via bank transfer, card payment, or other methods made available on the Platform. Transaction limits apply and are communicated within the Platform in accordance with CBN guidelines.
If a transaction is debited from your account but the service is not delivered, we will refund the amount to your Billsaver wallet within 24 hours. If the amount was debited from your bank card or account, a reversal will be initiated within 3–5 business days.
Your Billsaver wallet is not a deposit account and does not earn interest. Billsaver does not hold your funds as a bank. Funds are safeguarded in trust accounts with licensed financial institutions in Nigeria.
You agree not to use the Platform for any of the following:
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of wallet balances, and referral to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
All content on the Platform, including the Billsaver name, logo, trademarks, design, software, and text, is owned by or licensed to Billsaver Technologies Limited. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Billsaver shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruption.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total amount of transactions processed on your behalf in the 30-day period immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@billsaver.ng. Upon account closure, any remaining wallet balance (excluding cashback earned through fraudulent activity) will be refunded to your registered bank account within 5 business days.
Billsaver may suspend or terminate your account immediately without notice if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required to do so by law or regulatory authority.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through direct negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, under the rules of the Lagos Court of Arbitration.
Nothing prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification and/or email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
